Steve, Wildomar

Steve’s home in Wildomar is a single-story Spanish-tile-roof property with a lot of exterior detail to work with: a covered back patio, a side entrance with a security door, metal gates front and back, and stucco retaining walls along the driveway. The stucco itself was still in decent shape, but everything was starting to look flat and uniform, with no real contrast to make the architecture stand out.

We prepped and painted the stucco, eaves, fascia boards, and all the exterior wood trim, along with the front driveway gate, side entrance gate, backyard gates and fencing, the entrance and security doors, and the stucco retaining walls by the driveway and garage. The biggest change came from color. We kept the stucco in a similar warm tone but gave all the trim, the patio beams, window surrounds, doors, and gates, a rich espresso brown. That contrast is what makes the house pop now compared to the flatter look it had before.

The whole exterior was done in four to five days. It’s a good example of how much of a difference a trim color change alone can make. Same stucco, same layout, a completely different first impression from the street.
